I agree the S4's are nice, but the few ones I ran into while I was living in Germany didn't do much on the 'bahn'. I remember racing an RS-4 (that's the flared fender, big brakes having wagon, for those that don't know) with my modified 1G eclispe FWD. We raced about five times from speeds varying between 50 - 65mph to ~130mph...rs4 couldn't do anything with my eclispe in any of those runs, we were dead even until I let off. The few S4's that tried me in that car, got destroyed. period. Including one at the street races in nurnburg and at the drag races in bitburg. the rs4 even had a tuning badge on the rear. Just for the record, the eclispe had the following: turbo-back 2 1/2" exhaust ported exh. manifold ported/clipped TDO5-18G turbo @ 16psi web cams 547/546 grinds upper IC pipe 255 walbronot really a fair comparison, but S4's are better suited to dead stop and rolls from low speeds IMO. I would still buy one and mod it before I would buy an wrx though.
